ABOUT ME

I'm currently studying at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway where i'll finish my MSc in telecommunications next summer. As a person i would say that i have a good humour, interested in good dinner discussions and rather culturally interested. I'm well organised and like to be in control of things, so i'm probably not the most spontaneous guy you'll find. :-) But i'm always ready for a good conversation and exchange of ideas and opinions.

PHILOSOPHY

I don't believe that i have one, but "know yourself and you'll get to know everyone else better" could be a suggestion.

I haven't been CouchSurfing before, but seeing how my neighbours have endorsed the idea i couldn't resist.

Interests

I really enjoy travelling and exploring the world. The more I go abroad, the more i understand that there are so much i haven't seen and explored. I guess visiting unknown places are like fuel on the fire to want to visit more places. Apart from that i enjoy spending time outdoors in the nature. That includes cross-country skiing and snowboarding in winter and running and bicycling in summer. And of course, i like to meet new people and socialize, because it's a great way to relaxe and have a good time after long days of studying.

Music, Movies, and Books

I would say that i'm generally interested in reading, though i buy books more often than i manage to finish them. Recently i've read the chronicles of Narnia, the Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, because i enjoy easy-to-read books on my bedsit table. I've said to myself that i will read more "mature" books when i've finished the last Harry Potter, but we'll see. I also enjoy classic cartoons like Astérix & Obélix, Tintin and others. I try to complete my collection of these, but i haven't read (or bought) any new cartoons in quite some time. I also enjoy watching movies and listening to music. On the silver screen, my favorites, more or less recent, are Wallace & Gromit, Corpse Bride (and other animated movies by Tim Burton), The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and Finding Neverland. I have a tendancy to prefer quirky movies than regular Hollywood blockbusters, even though i watch them as well. On the music scene, my tastes reach from acoustic ballads to rock including house music as well, but excluding rap and hip&hop (music that i don't care too much for unfortunately).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if i've seen many extraordinary things, but i see small thing that impresses me almost every day. The other day on the metro there was a guy doing his own karaoke to "Dragostea din tei" with a speakerbox in his trolley. It was truly horrible and impressing at the same time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Cherishing things that you normally take for granted is important to me. Just because you see something everyday doesn't mean it's not worth stopping, looking and perhaps taking a picture of. Emphazing the positive side of things instead of complaining about the faults is an idea i like.
