About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn languages, learn culture, teach connection, teach fun, enjoy

ABOUT ME

I'm a human who adores a life of adventure, learning, growing, and smiling. I'm a very happy, outgoing, loving person. I'm a musician and am always happy to play music with fellow musicians!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a person who sees life through rose-colored glasses. I adore, respect, love, and appreciate my surroundings. I've got a passion for growth, both in myself and others, and aim to find a wonderful balance of moving forward with the support of others so I can be empowered to provide the same support to the world around me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've both hosted and been hosted over the years. Thus far I've only surfed in France and Brazil, but I'm excited to try it out in NZ and Japan next! When I hosted, it was in San Francisco, CA.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really enjoy when hosts/guests spend time with each other- playing music, exploring the area, cooking/eating together, etc. Those have been my favorite experiences, although having personal time is always nice. In general, I like to meet new people and get to know them, and resting our heads in the same place is generally a good way to do that.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I opened two community tea houses in San Francisco and Oakland: Tea Oasis. It was a place for people of all walks of life to come together and drink tea, slow down, and enjoy good company. It was a device-free tea house with all communal tables, with lots of events weekly, such as a Tea Ceremony 101, Language Exchange nights, live music, and art shows.

Teach, Learn, Share

Skills I have: English, AcroYoga, Juggling, Music (lots of instruments), Eternal Optimism, Writing, Social Dynamics/Connection/Intimacy

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a big fan of movement! I can teach you dance, AcroYoga, juggling, postural practices, etc. I'm happy to share language practice/study, too.

I also love to cook and keep house, so I'm happy to help take care of your home while I'm in it!
