Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm heading to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany this September, looking to couchsurf a bit while I'm there to learn from the locals!
ABOUT ME
Hey everyone, my name is Colin, I'm a 27 year old Brewer (I make beer) here in Calgary, AB. I love travelling and meeting new people, I've been on couchsurfing for a while now and have met some amazing people and some life long friends. I love introducing people to Calgary and showing them why I call this beautiful mountain city my home. I love the outdoors, hiking, skiing, going adventures, delicious food, craft beer and cocktails.
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero. Seize the day, put very little trust in tomorrow.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a couch available and possibly an air mattress (I need to patch a hole in it haha) here in my apartment in trendy Mission, 1km from Downtown. I am also looking to find people to stay with in September for my trip to the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted over 25 people here in Calgary (all awesome experiences!) and have couch surfed myself a few times when travelling. It's the absolute best way to meet locals and get the most out of the culture!
Interests
Travelling, hiking, camping, rafting, fishing, brewing beer, drinking craft beer, scotch, reading, Netflix, movies, television, games (cards against humanity - especially).

Music, Movies, and Books
Television - Netflix, The Simpsons, Rick & Morty, Archer, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Walking Dead, Game of Thrones - duh. But I like a lot of different shows!
I read mostly Non-Fiction and Business/Economics. I also read a lot of books on beer and brewing. I read a lot.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've road tripped around basically the entirety of the United States. I've been to more states than most of my American friends, so I guess that's pretty "amazing". I also really loved the Philippines and can't wait to get back to SE Asia.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love showing people around Calgary. Being one of the few 'born-here' Calgarians I really enjoy showing all the different amazing things Calgary has to offer, whether it be to eating, drinking, culture or nature-inspired. I have the low-down.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Knowledge, Good Times and of course being a Brewer - BEER!
