Words to live by: Read • Write • Bike
Which I guess is another way of reminding myself to Learn, Create, and Adventure.

Lately I find myself travelling quite a bit (for the past two years, basically). I am on my way to Vancouver now with a work permit in my pocket and a desire to meet some good people out there.

I still believe that one of the best ways to travel is by bicycle. Done some touring in Scotland, Denmark, the US, and the latest: an epic ride from Melbourne to Alice Springs. More to come. But these days, I also dream about becoming good at kayaking (and, indeed, have access to one).

Of all the languages out there, my favourite by far is English. I like to express this through writing (mostly journalling), reading, and trying my hardest to live in countries filled with native english speakers. As someone who has studied a bit of philosophy and is partial to doubt most things in this world, maybe it is telling that my love of English remains a part that I very rarely question. My notebook is something I bring everywhere I go and must replace often.

🎵 Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino is an album I am thoroughly enjoying these days.
🎬 Most recent movie/series I watched that really made an impression... probably re-watching Band of Brothers. Right after, I hiked in the Alps and found the Edelweiss flower and was so thrilled!
📚 Just finished Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. The effects of high altitude and low oxygen are astounding.

When I first made this CS profile many years ago, I was reading Sun Tzu:
