About Me

24 year old dane, currently traveling with my boyfriend, Ethan, whom I’ll introduce further down!👇

RIGHT NOW; in Madrid after having just finished walking the Camino. Been traveling and living nomadicly since February when I quit my job in Iceland after one amazing year.
… ALWAYS love meeting people, curious on different lifestyles and perspectives. Love cooking and connecting over a good homemade dinner!

About my boyfriend:
Ethan is from California, but has Icelandic roots (& that’s the reason we met! He was visiting his grandparents in Iceland while I was living there) We hiked the Camino together this autumn and are now planning to travel together, first roadtripping in the US and later bikepacking in Europe.🚲

Ethan is 23 years old and majored in computer science in 2020 and has been working a couple different jobs since then. He - and myself - aim to become digital traveling nomads in coming years and his most recent work project included making a website selling ISO certified glasses for the total solar eclipse on April 8th - it has been a very busy project for him, which is almost about to be concluded, finally 😅

Ethan is a big lover of nature and hates being trapped in big cities and straight after high school, he packed the car and went roadtripping on his own for three weeks. He hiked the Join Muir Trail for three weeks in solitude when he was 20 - so sure to say, he loves being in nature.
In his close knit friend group of boys that go all the way back to middle school, he is known as the funny, witty guy with sharp mind. To new people he might seem a bit shy at first but will slowly open up.

Ethan also loves to stay active, often visiting the gym or going for a run. He was actually training for. 50k trail run this autumn that unfortunately got cancelled last minute 🥲 Ethan also LOVES to eat (and luckily most of the stuff I cook too) and immerse himself in complicated math problems…

We are BOTH very calm, clean and friendly. We are not much into drinking and partying, but prefer spendingg time with people in other ways; enjoying a delicious home cooked meal, meeting up for crafts and knitting club, movie nights or going on hikes, playing board games together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I will be traveling a lot more the next years and hopefully I can use this app to connect with likeminded travelers and hosts!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked 1000 km across Spain last fall (part of the Camino Frances) from the French border all the way to the ocean.

Another time: bicycled a from Passau to Vienna with a school full of physically or mentally disabled people with their personal helpers. It was the greatest, funniest and most straining trip ever.

Last year I hiked to an active erupting volcano in Iceland and stood 200 meters from it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you: how to cook a great dahl!

I am learning: Icelandic.

Would like to learn: more languages! Carpentry and woodworking; aka handy-man-ship! Graphic design…

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook a dinner for you! I do a pretty good curry or Dahl. I am also good at photography and editing video…
