ABOUT ME

I moved from the countryside on the Swedish west coast to NYC, shifting focus from nature to art and back again. Now I live in Copenhagen, Denmark in an apartment I share with my boyfriend and two friends. I'm a vegetarian /vegan (not preachy) I love horseback riding and being in nature, camping, swimming, painting, reading. The list is long. interested in everything! open minded, easy going, and ready for surprises!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is amazing!

Even though I'm busy with other things and not that active from time to time, I have only praise for the people who's couches I've surfed. Best times were in Portland, Oregon where we cooked, went on road trips and painted a shed with fantasy water-world creatures!

Music: Mulatu Astatke, Budos Band, Jens Lekman, the knife, wildbirds and peacedrums. little dragon, Steve Gunn, Nico to name a few, but, Hey there's so much great music out there!

Books: I love Alice Munro. So basically anything from her.
Latest other favorites are: A visit from the goon squad - Jennifer Egan, The brief wondrous life of Oscar Wao - Junot Diaz, Freedom - Jonathan Franzen

I listen to a lot of podcasts. A lot of them are in Swedish but my English speaking favorites are: The new yorker fiction, this american life, the moth and selected shorts!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Kula, a type of singing that originally was used to call in the cows from the woods in the olden days. I heard it in the middle of the night, with bonfires and kula-singing by a lake at a music festival in Falun (middle of Sweden)
