I was born and raised in the Flemish part of Belgium, loved my childhood every second. A social scoutgirl, always surrounded by friends and family. Then I grew up and wanted to see more than beautiful Belgium (especially Gent, trust me!). Did an exchange program to Spain, fell in love with the Spanish language. End up in Bolivia for my internship of the university and after graduating I started working in Colombia, in a foundation with children in vulnerable situations. Since that moment I fell in love with Colombia and its culture :)

Nací y crecí en la parte flamenca de Bélgica, amé mi juventud cada segundo. Una chica de los scouts y social, siempre estuve rodeada por amigos y familia. Después crecí y quería ver más que mi hermosa Bélgica (especialmente Gante, créame!). Hice un intercambio en España, me enamoré del lenguaje español. Terminé en Bolivia para mis prácticas de la universidad y después de graduarme empecé a trabajar en Colombia, en una fundación con niños que viven en situaciones vulnerables. Desde ese momento, me enamoré de Colombia y su cultura :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Now for getting better in Portuguese! And doing this in a combination with a nice group of people, while sharing food and talk about our interests. Would be nice to meet up and even to find a couch these last days in Brazil to have the fullest Brazilian experience :)

Interests

I love to travel, that's my main interest in my life. I loooove to see new things, new landscapes, new 'wow' experiences. So if I have the opportunity to meet up with people from different cultures, it's like traveling mentally while conversing with them.

Small happiness is what makes me really happy in life: drinking a coffee with friends, do some calligraphy, play volleyball, hike in the mountains to be in the nature,...

Amo viajar, es mi interés más grande en mi vida. Me encanta ver cosas nuevas, paisajes nuevos, experiencias nuevas que me dan 'wow'. Por eso, si tengo la oportunidad de encontrarme con gente de diferentes culturas, para mí es como viajar mentalmente cuando estamos hablando.

Cosas pequeñas que me dan felicidad son: tomar café con amigos, hacer caligrafía, jugar voleibol, hacer caminatas en las montañas para estar en la naturaleza,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not to talk in cliches but Machu Picchu was really wow, felt like a kid on its first schooltrip. And biggest achievement was walking to Choquequirao in a total of three days.

No quiero hablar en estereotipos pero Machu Picchu fue wow, me sentí como una niña en su primer paseo con la escuela. Y el logro más grande fue la caminata a Choquequirao, en solamente tres días.

Teach, Learn, Share

After a long trip of almost one year in Latin America, our last month of traveling arrived. So no more sightseeing and rushing, but chilling and learning some Portuguese! By talking a lot with a beer and new people, would be a nice combination!
