About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Facilitate travel, as I currently cannot!

ABOUT ME

It's certainly difficult to summarize oneself, but essentially, during my undergraduate degree, I spent a year studying in England and another half year working in Germany. Despite the fact that I haven't checked the box on a lot of the countries (as the map below would indicate), I feel that the extended amounts of time I had during each of these travel experiences have had a lasting impact on my worldview. While you can definitely have memorable experiences through taking day trips, there is simply no comparison to the shades of culture you experience only by living in a place for an extended period of time. Currently, as I work full time and get fairly limited holiday time, I'm using CouchSurfing to bring the world to me!

PHILOSOPHY

More on this later.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I CouchSurfed a few times while I was in Germany, and now I'm simply looking to host people! I love assisting travelers having an American adventure, and I find that I learn all kinds of new things based on the requests I get from travelers while they stay with me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with one host while I was in Germany, but unfortunately, while I was in Germany I was working 40 hours a week, and didn't have ample opportunity to travel utilizing this site. I have just hosted my first guest here in DC and we had a fantastic time, looking forward to hosting more!
