About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoying my ERASMUS year in München!
ABOUT ME
I'm an eccentric, positive, Norwegian engineer student who wants to explore the world. I'm a passionate motorcyclist and two years ago I did one year of motorcycle riding in North- and South-America.
I need to have a project, something to work on. It makes me happy and gives everyday a special meaning.
PHILOSOPHY
The most important thin in my life is to be happy. If you're not, stop what you're doing and start doing something else. Of course there will be boring and hard moments, but the overall thought should be that "I'm doing exactly what I should and want to do!"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I try to be the Host I dream of meeting while traveling. While traveling I really appreciate spending time with my host, they know the best places to eat, relax, party and see the things I wouldn't have seen on my own!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Hosted multiple times times, only positive experiences. CS'ed in Singapore, America and Europe. Except for one time it´s always been really good.
That said, I´m gonna do some raging here: Guys, check your e-mail! When people travel it´s often hard to plan more than some days ahead. I count on people being like me, checking their email at least twice every day. I get sadly disappointed every time. It doesn´t help if you respond to my request a week and a half after I sent it out, I´m long gone by then. I hate the "copy-paste"- request method because I like to write personal requests, but as it is now you need to send out at least 25 requests to have even the slightest chance of getting a respond within the first 24 hours.
Interests
Hunting, fishing, traveling, brewing beer, drink the beer I've brewed, sports of any kind, dancing salsa (even though I'm not that good yet), chess and a thousand more things. To be hones; I'll join you on whatever activity you suggest and I will probably love it. The best thing about doing things you really don't know how to do is the short amount of time it takes to advance from "Totally useless" to just "Bad". That's some motivation right there!

Music, Movies, and Books
I like good, deep movies like "Shawshank Redemtion", "Seven" and "The Road". I appreciate a good Western and I'm also weak for Tarantino with "Pulp Fiction" as his ultimate masterpiece.
Music would be Rock from around 1970. Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Deep Purple and on and on.. I also find my guilty pleasure in some of the modern music, both "Levels" and, almost to embarrassing to admit it, "I Knew You Were Trouble" are good examples.
I've read a lot of good books. Lord of the Rings will always stand as one of my favorites, but "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy is probably the one book who made the biggest impression on me. Damn, I was devastated. Harry Potter, "The Alchemist" and a Norwegian author named Jo Nesboe. I'm currently reading the series "The Dark Tower" by Stephen King and "A Song of Ice and Fire".
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Once, I was walking home from a party. On the way I saw a young man hanging from a bridge, ready to let go. I ran to him and pulled him back onto the bridge. Then I hugged him, harder than I've ever hugged somebody. Even though I'd never met him before I felt a tremendous amount of love inside me. Still I was devastated thinking of how close he had been of letting everything go. After a while he went off, and a feeling of total emptiness and sorrow slowly filled me. An extreme depression filled me and didn't let go until a couple of days later. I reacted totally different from what I'd expected, turning extremely depressed instead of happy because I was at the right place at the right time. This was the strongest experience of my life.
After a one week military exercise with almost no food or sleep, I had a bit of chocolate. It was fantastic, I could taste all the different tastes and I have never been able to do that again.
A drunk Italian once blamed me for being a jew and were about to fight me on the street because I told him he was an ignorant, racist fool. The bar keeper managed to cool him down, but it was an exciting experience.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love cooking and good discussions. I´m not religious, but not one of those Angry-Atheists either. Again, I love a good discussion!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I will cook you a delightful meal and join you on whatever crazy plans you might have. I require very little, just a place to put my stuff, a place to sleep (on the floor or even in the garden) and a shower.
