ABOUT ME
I've been told that I'm a smiley person, that usually looks a bit lost; I think that sums me up nicely. I love meeting new people, exploreing, and doing things on the spare of the moment! I like doing outdoor things, and am happy to go with the flow.
Ive spent the last two years in Canada and Australia and after a brief few months at home in the UK I've got itchy feet again. Thankfully I've already got my return flight booked! The next step in the journey is going to be New Zealand. Apart from wanting to become a snowboard instructor (that counts as a real job, right?) I'm just going to see what happens when I'm there.
PHILOSOPHY
I have a general view that everything works out for the best, even if you may not realise it at the time. Its all about keeping a positive outlook.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've got a few experiences all of which have the same theme: People are great!
From surfing in hotel rooms in San francisco, students in Seattle to being shown round New York by someone with a wealth of local knowledge; the people I've met have always been incredible.
Interests
A few years ago I tried snowboarding in an indoor snowdome in the UK. Within a month I was working my first ski season in the French Alps. I'm looking at becoming an instructor this year so its safe to say that I'm hooked!
My other big love is food. I've been working as a chef for the past few years which means that unless I'm cooking for others, my diet is bizarre at best (I once ate a yogurt sandwich as that was all I had it the house). I do love eating out, and eating with others, I'm a firm believer that food should be enjoyed with people, it somehow tastes better!
Apart from those, I try and meet as many new people as I can. Talking to strangers can be a lot of fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a pretty broad music taste, it can go from a bit of pop, to a bit of metal, some ska, indy....
I'm not really a movie person, but I do love to read. I'd say my favourite book is the Autobiography of a supertramp, for those who haven't read it, I strongly suggest it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding with friends on a fresh powder day out in Canada. Surrounded by people that make you happy, doing something you love and a nice clear blue sky above your heads. The stunning view of the snow covered mountains was just the icing on the cake!
Out in Australia I tried Scuba Divig for the first time. For those who haven't tried it, I strongly urge you to. Its like moving through a different world, everything is so different, even the fact that you can fully move in three dimensions. Its incredible being able to see the fish and coral up close.
Teach, Learn, Share
I like to think that I'd teach you some useless skills, my personal favourite is holding your right foot with your left hand and jumping through the gap. I can also teach you how to say Merry Chritmas in Welsh
