Hello!
I am an Indonesian-Kiwi taking a year off from my studies in New Zealand! I decided I needed a break from university and wanted to travel (some of) the world. Right now I am living in Jakarta and am travelling around the United States in May and June. After coming back home I plan on going all over Asia starting with the Philippines.

I love meeting new people and experiencing new things. Growing up I have been lucky enough to have lived in Vietnam, Indonesia and New Zealand. From those experiences I absorbed various cultures, always finding different ways of life fascinating.

Having three more years of Medicine left in New Zealand I thought this would be a perfect time to escape and discover new places and meet new people. Wherever I go I always want to find out what the locals do, especially try what they eat!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard such great things in this community! I hopefully am going to go to various places in the United States and Asia this year and would love the opportunity to meet and stay with locals. Then I want to return the favour when I start my studies again!

Interests

Living in New Zealand made me fall in love with the outdoors.
Of course I love travelling too! I've been lucky enough to have lived and visited a few countries since I was a child.
I love listening to music, even learning how to Swing dance (terrible at it though!)
A good movie never lets me down and I have become really interested in philosophy and politics.

Recently been reading a lot of non-fiction, politics philosophy kinda stuff..

I am super interested in learning anything at all from people of all sorts. I was raised in a very open minded environment and love different opinions and experiences. I definitely would not mind learning a few new skills too!
