my name's alex. i identify with as many things as i dis-identify with. i like thinking about things and making things. i cheat my way through life, as we all should. i can be cynical but i'm not judgemental (at least until i have enough material to judge by). i have a big crazy dog named odin, and he's pretty much the only thing i really care about.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

i enjoy having couchsurfers stay at our place. i like meeting new people, exchanging experiences and such; couchsurfing is a really positive and effective way for an alternative form of travel when you want to visit places and experience culture first hand. i am constantly learning things about montreal and i like sharing that with travellers.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

i've had lots of people on my couches through couchsurfing over the years. when people visit i prefer to spend time, have fun and hangout with them, although i may be too busy to actually do so. i've never really had a bad experience with couchsurfers and i hope it continues that way.

i like john waters, jim jarmusch, coen brothers, alejandro jodorowsky, stuart gordon etc etc etc films. any kind of trashy, sci-fi, gore, slasher, completely absurd and twisted flick.

music is more open for discussion. my favourites are fugazi, captain beefheart, dead moon, and the fall. though my general musical taste is much more diverse.

i like mostly non-fiction books save for russian literature, thoughtful sci-fi, kurt vonnegut, henry miller, kafka, i'm getting progressively more open to fiction books.
