About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Explore this lovely planet and spread the love!!
ABOUT ME
I like to go to concerts, create art (and sometimes music), disc golf, and otherwise experience the outdoors. I also enjoy volunteer work of nearly any kind. I love to help make my community a better place.
Essentially, I'm down with the funkier things in life. If it sounds fun I'll give it a try. I'm here to learn from anyone I can, which is why I joined the site.
PHILOSOPHY
I am here to experience what I can in life. Experience is the greatest teacher, and I value even negative experiences a great deal, for they are even greater teachers. I am here to give. If humans do not give to one another, we will eventually die. We are an interdependent species.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just joined, and very busy with school. But my couch will be available in the near future, and Missoula is one of the most fun/odd/interesting places in Montana.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
After a month of living in a tent near Glacier Park, I found my first apartment. I spent the next month waiting for my kind friend to vacate the place, and I lived on her comfy green couch for a while. They were fun times. We rafted, longboarded, hung out by the river, and pulled some all-nighters followed by mad coffee at 7am so I could go to work at 9:00. One of the most entertaining periods of my life.
Interests
Longboarding (asphalt surfing), making art, dancing, singing, discovering and listening to amazing music, occasionally making music, combing thrift shops, eating ice cream, and learning all I can in this lifetime.

Music, Movies, and Books
Anything written by Tom Robbins or Kurt Vonnegut is usually amazing. As far as music is concerned I look for the interesting underground alternative rock. I enjoy other genres as well. Bjork is one of my favorite artists because of her weird experimental style. Basically I like a lot of things you probably won't hear on the radio. Movies are kind of the same for me. It's got to be interesting, not simply chock-full of Hollywood dolls.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Summer 2006- during a project with Montana Conservation Corps, our crew hiked to the top of the 7,500 ft peak, Mt. Thompson-Seton. It was amazing to push myself up the trail, to see the historical lookout at the top, and to view the incredible valley below me. Some of my most awesome experiences have occurred on mountaintops.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know quite a bit about backpacking and camping skills. I have a lot of experience working with kids of all ages, and have a passion for the state of our planet's physical environment. I don't know everything, no one does. I can also teach just about anyone to make a multitude of art projects, from paper lanterns for children to watercolor paintings for amateur artists.
