About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list!

ABOUT ME

I'm easy going and social person. I want to meet new people all around the world and hear what stories others have to tell. I love indulging in a conversation about cultures and traveling. I'd also never say no to uncorking a bottle of wine.

I did my Erasmus studies in Patra, Greece. I loved those months! Getting to know other Erasmus students and exploring Greece with new friends was an amazing experience that I will never forget.

Finished university and ended up living one year in Rome and went traveling around Italy. After, I came back to do some grown ups business in Finland in an international company, which allows me to travel some, but I also use most of my free time to travel. The periods I'm not traveling, I'm happy to welcome the world to my home :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first CS experience in Sardegna 2012 and was absolutely blown away by it. The couchsurfing community there was wide and tight and welcoming. I met so many wonderful and interesting people! One of the best trips I've ever had. Great story of us hitchhiking, also in an ambulance, through Sardegna.

I used CS also when I went backpacking US east coast for a month. I was searching for someone in CS to join me and found perfect travel buddy, with whom I ended up traveling the whole rest of my trip.

After meeting all these inspiring, like-minded, awesome people who love traveling, I was thrilled to also offer my own home to other couchsurfers.

I still try to stay in contact with these great people, no matter how far our travels take us :)

Interests

Exploring new places, roaming around, getting lost!

Having interesting conversations about traveling, different cultures and about life in general.

Always ready for fun night out! I love going to concerts, festivals or just enjoy a glass of wine with a view.

I'm up to see different sports! I used to live next to Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Forza Italia! So football, baseball, hockey, NFL, NBA, volleyball. Let's go!

I love to challenge myself to try out new sports. Scuba diving, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, dancing ballet, table curling, you name it!

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music goes beyond all genres. We have the best rock festivals in Finland, but went to a jazz festival in Italy and also found myself at a trance festival in Holland! If you have the guitar, I can sing!

Once in a while I can totally lose myself to a good book, usually it's a thriller from authors like Lars Kepler, Jo Nesbø, Jussi Adler-Olsen or fantasy like George R. R Martin or J. R. R. Tolkien. I also have Harry Potters next to my Stephen King novels in my bookshelve.

I almost never watch television, but I watch A LOT of movies. Psychological thrillers, historical movies and superhero movies are my usual choices. X-men & other Marvels, Back to the future, Star wars, Tarantino movies, Studio Ghibli just to give a few examples. Almost anything really, but not a chance to make me watch cheesy romantic comedies.
