About Me

Having grown up internationally, I have a natural love for traveling and adventure. I have an open mind and an open heart. I genuinely find almost everything and everyone interesting, so hit me up for a chat!

Laughter is my fuel. You will find me laughing at almost anything because I tend to find everything hilarious. You won't find me making a big fuss of something small, and you won't find me dwelling on the negative stuff. I really am a happy go lucky kind of girl.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My living situation isn't ideal for hosting, but I am always open to show people around and hang out!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only experienced surfing, and no hosting, but the experience has been fantastic! I've met some great people and I definitely don't plan on stopping anytime soon :)

Interests

Traveling, cooking, biking, and I spend way too much time socializing sometimes I feel like I don't have time for activities I would otherwise love!

I don't get to explore the wild outdoors as often but whenever I get the chance I love to go hiking, camping, and kayaking.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is my drug of choice. I love a variety of genres but classic rock always sits closest to my heart. Favorites include (but not limited to) The Rolling Stones, The Who, The Doors, Arctic Monkeys, The Kooks, Pretty Lights, Jack Johnson, The Cat Empire.

I am a sucker for non-fiction. My favourite books include Into Thin Air, Into The Wild, Born To Run, Brain on Fire...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if this is the right way to answer this question, but the fact that I've grown up all over and that is by far the single thing that has defined me the most as a person. Yes, it does make it difficult sometimes that I don't exactly have a place to call "home", but I feel that it has helped me shape my identity both as a Japanese person and as a global citizen. How lucky am I to be able to fully identify with both? My point with this ramble is that thanks to my upbringing I am able to really appreciate everything around me. I think there is a stereotype that people who have grown up internationally are snobby, but to me, there is nothing more humbling. Every new experience is amazing to me and I hope to continue to be amazed by this wonderful world we live in!
