Overview
About Me
I am Sil, 26 and recently finished my studies. I grew up in Menen, a small town in Belgium and went to study Chemistry for 5 years in Ghent, Belgium. After that, I moved abroad for my PhD. I had the great opportunity to live in San Sebastián in Spain for 1.5 years, where I learned to speak Spanish (Sí, podemos hablar en Español también). After that, I moved to Germany (Mannheim) to finish the PhD in another 1.5 years, where I also learned some German. Now, I am living back in Menen, with my parents and I am considering new (travelling) experiences abroad.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I heard some very nice things about Couchsurfing from friends and hope to be able to use it in a way to help people, but also to get to know new people when traveling myself.
Interests
From my 7-21 years, I was part of the yought group (scouts), which made the basis of who I am right now. Open, social and adventureous. These last years I also travelled and lived abroad, which made me a lot more international, understanding the need of getting to know new (local) people when arriving at a new place.
