About Me

Spontaneous and uncomplicated!

I'm from Germany and about to finish my Erasmus masters in ‘Sustainable Forest and Nature Management’. It’s a double degree program that enabled me to study and live next to Snowdonia, Wales, which I simply adored - mountains to scramble, sea to swim in fluorescent plankton, castles to roam around. Also, I’ve had loads of fun with my classmates from all over the world. Before my bachelors (Geography) I did a year of "voluntary service" in Namibia and went to school for half a year in France, so I'm more interested in getting to know a country as a non-tourist. I love nature and am a vegetarian for many reasons, though I will not annoy you if you eat a steak next to me.

Most of my lazy student days are filled with doing sports like martial arts (yes, do not mess with me), acrobatics, dancing, kayaking, or what ever else is possible and fun in my current home city. I take a lot of my energy from being around nice people and through motivating each other to go on adventures or to make the best out of things. Usually I am quite good at adapting to most sorts of people and places, as I have often moved to countries or cities where I had never been before but managed to find amazing friends and to learn at least bits of their languages. There's still so much I haven't tried, learned and seen and I'm curious for all the awesome craziness out in the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'll be travelling for my studies/work and for fun of course and would like to get to know the countries from a different perspectives than a tourist! Also, getting to know amazing people is awesome :) Lucky enough I momentarily have the possibility to host visitors in the flat I share with my awesome flatmates.
I would love to travel to Ireland some time, I'd also like to visit eastern Europe...because first of all I haven't been there and second: you don't have to fly to get there.

Music, Movies, and Books

Mostly Fantasy books and movies, but everything from Action to Romances really. In music I prefer Rock like Three Days Grace, but you might find me listening to some german leftie rap too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Together with friends I swam under the Victoria Falls between Zimbabwe and Zambia while they were "dry" and therefore not that dangerous...was still QUITE exciting and beautiful :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you my everyday life, do outdoor sports with you, teach you the basics of self defense, share my love for and knowledge about nature, ... or try to participate in what you like to do and see. I'm curious to hear about your life and experiences! Please understand that mutual respect and treating each other as equals is very important to me, and I will not tolerate any romantic advances.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories, listening, help in the household.

I will be very nice to your pets, respect the rules in your home, leave you alone when you need it and adapt. I don't smoke myself nor take any drugs (except for beer if you want to call it a drug).
I can take very good care of myself but enjoy company nonetheless.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, China, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, England, Italy, Netherlands, Scotland, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Zambia, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
