ABOUT ME

I like to experiment with various materials in our small workshop, creating beautiful things for everyday use.
Crazy things like swimming in the frozen lake in winter makes life exciting.
I regularly lead the youth group of the local canoeing club on the lake (training) and on the river.
I used to play the clarinette but lately very seldom.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm still quite new to CS and haven't had the chance to host a "real CS member" until now. I'm looking forward to make my first experiences with CS by travelling and surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my first "Couchsurfing Experience" without even being a member of CS hosting somebody who wasn't a member either: On my way home from university I met a French speaking guy who was travelling to Germany by bicycle. He asked me for directions and it turned out that we could cycle the next 15km together. In the end he passed the night on my couch. Half a year later when I was doing a work experience in his town (La-Chaux-de-Fonds) I went to see him at his place and he showed me around the city, a current photo exhibition and the surrounding countryside!

Interests

I adore traveling long distances by bicycle.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

sunset on a mountain peak in winter, anticipating my first night in a self made snowcave. Quite far away from civilisation in the swiss alps.

Cutting a big tree in the swiss mountainforests by means of a hand driven saw for two people and a simple axe - seeing them fall is impressive.
