About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Grow, Love, Live, Love, Learn, Love,

ABOUT ME

My ideal life would be running an open, self sustaining yoga community or ashram, growing its own food completely off the grid. Instead, I live in Los Angeles and shop at trader joe's...

PHILOSOPHY

I can't believe how long it's been since I updated this:
Do Not Harm, Countless Paths to God, Apple A Day...pretty much all the stuff you would expect a dreadlocked yoga teacher in Los Angeles to think.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I (couch)surfed the West coast and from Los Angeles to Chicago. Then I was riding around the East Coast in a vegetable oil bus.

Interests

languages, cooking, agriculture, impromptu drumming on things other than drums and other forms of spontaneous music creation.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the poetry of Gary Snyder, comedic and artful films like Groundhog Day, Gandhi and Kurosawa movies (pretentious, huh?), and most music: drums, electronic, acoustic, jazz, classical, hip hop, things I can't begin to classify, new and old...and Jamal Ski, I just can't stop listening to Jamal Ski.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the old christian pilgrimage trail 'el camino de santiago' that runs from france basically to portugal, sleeping in churches, cornfields and public parks (cooler than I expected). I have also lived on a biodiesel bus (not as cool as I hoped) and have been that person who accidentally falls in the pool at a party (entirely uncool). One time, while I was hitchhiking from Lake Tahoe to Nevada City in the snow, I spent the night in a vintage limo on the back of a trailer truck on highway twenty (cold, but cool).

Teach, Learn, Share

veggie cooking, baking, yoga, sanskrit, calligraphy (I know right? Manly.), music production, hand percussion
