I am an animal lover, crafter, and geek. I love all animals! Dogs and cats, cockatiels and geckos, ferrets and goats, and have had almost every type of pet you can imagine! An ideal weekend for me includes either chilling at home with board games and crochet or putting on one of my Marvel or Star Trek costumes and heading to a local con. I’m fairly laidback and don’t need to be on the go every minute of the day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am moving from Orlando to the Frederick area in two weeks for a new job. Given how sudden the move is and how far away I live, i have yet to secure an apartment. I’m hoping to be able to get an apartment shortly after arriving, but I will probably be needing to crash for a week or two...

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to NPR in the car, but if I am listening to music it’s probably either The Addams Family Musical or an album of David Wilcox (a folk singer).
I love reading anything and everything, but lately I’m mostly reading classics such as The D’artagnon Romances and Anna Karenina or reading Silver Age Marvel comics!
I enjoy most types of movies, especially sci-fi, horror, and drama.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve ridden a camel. Maybe not the most amazing thing ever, but I certainly enjoyed it! 😄

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn new things!
As for teaching, I am a bit of a yarn addict and would love to help spread my passion for fiber arts by teaching either crochet or embroidery.
I’m also a huge animal lover and am happy to help in the care of pets (yes, even the unpleasant bits!).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share in the care of pets or children as I love and have extensive experience with both. I am also happy to teach any crafting techniques I know. I am a great cook and would happily help in the preparation of meals. Really, I’m always happy to help any way that I can!
