About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world, meet folks from other places, exotic and otherwise.

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going guy who lives in the sticks in upstate South Carolina about a half-hour drive from Clemson. I am a quiet, stable guy, but given to spontaneity and I have a great sense of humor. I don't smoke or drink, and am not the party type. I am single and love women, absolutely crazy about women. I spend a lot of time trying to catch one and sometimes I do.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, make it count.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I welcome CSers; there are a lot of beautiful things to see in this area.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was all alone on a rainy night in Munich many years ago, looking in vain for a hotel room, when a young Frenchman found me and took me to his apartment and made a bed for me on the floor. He saved me from possibly sleeping in the train station. And, I once spent the night in the home of an elderly lady in Tennessee when there were no rooms to be had.

Interests

Hiking, traveling, exploring, adventure, reading, history, trying new foods, barbecue, visiting a coffee shop.

Music, Movies, and Books

Action/adventure movies, comedies like Airplane and Naked Gun; non-fiction books. I like WWII movies and books. As for as music, I prefer oldies from the sixties and seventies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the sight that made the biggest impression on me was the setting at the Many Glacier Hotel in Glacier National Park, Montana. The hotel, the lake, the jagged mountains surrounding the lake. It is something I think every American should see. Next to that I think would be Crater Lake in Oregon.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Colombia, El Salvador, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Switzerland, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
