Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
We are exploring places we might move to. Portugal is top of the list. Maybe Denmark or the Netherlands.
ABOUT ME
Dave and I got married in 2013. Living together since 2010. I love gardening and being outdoors. Love cooking. I'm usually busy trying to keep the house clean or get some exercise. Dave plays guitar and produces music. We are both artists in different ways. We like going to burn festivals and events, costuming, dancing, adventurous travel and board/card games. We are raising a wonderful son who is 7.
PHILOSOPHY
Why do I live my life? To enjoy this beautiful world. To love. To enjoy my friends and family. To create and experience.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like making new friends and showing them around. I'm pretty good at organizing events, getting people together and finding fun things to do (boardgames, crafts, hikes, cooking, dancing).
When traveling, we like to do something nice for our hosts - draw their caricatures, make or buy dinner, etc. For us, CS is not about a cheap place to stay, but about the connection. We're very social and prefer the "local" experience to the "tourist" version. Since we're traveling to explore places to live, we really want to meet and get to know locals.
We have a lot of good experiences with CouchSurfing. Check out our references.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent a summer in Cuba studying art when I was in college. That was pretty awesome. The day that stands out the most is the second to the last. My friend and I met up with some locals and snuck around the back of this big stone fort to a swimming hole on the coast of Havana. If you held your breath you could swim through a tunnel in the rock and come up in a cave. Light filtered in from the water below. The Spanish voices, the shimmering blue light and the splashing ocean water all mixed together with a surreal beauty I will always remember.
Dave has been to Burning Man a handful of times. It's amazing beyond words, but that won't stop him from talking your ear off if you ask about it.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning to handstand.
We have a couple bikes you can borrow.
I've been learning a lot about gardening. I'll always continue to learn more. I also want to learn to breakdance. Dave plays guitar and writes songs. He has a beautiful voice.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can draw your portrait or caricature. Cook at home or take you out for a drink.
Dave is very funny. We can play improv games. He sometimes brings his travel guitar and sings.
We bring board and card games everywhere. We mostly play casual, social games, and we'd love to introduce you to some new ones.
