Hi everyone! I’m Silvia, I’m Italian and since I left home 15 years ago, I’ve been working/ living in many different European countries, such as Germany, Sweden and Ireland. I’m based now in Ireland where I’m studying and working in hospitality while I’m improving my English. I love solo traveling and stay for a while in a country while integrating, learn the language and get to know its people and culture on a deeper level. I love art and painting, but my greatest passion is music which I love to listen to, go to live concerts, play/sing and since only recently, salsa dancing(I’m an absolute beginner!)😄

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m new to couchsurfing and I find it as a great way to meet locals and connect with other travelers while I’m on the road, even if only for few days! I’ve always used volunteering platforms to move around and be hosted, but this is all new and very exciting to me! 😊 I’ll try my best to not be a burden and share some good food/conversations 🌺

Interests

I love movies, especially old ones and classics, I like to sing and play guitar, I’m a music geek and I love concerts and traditional music (especially Afro-Latin-Cuban-Colombian styles, but l’d love to know more about flamenco and Morna)! I’m learning salsa dance(I’ve got the sense of rhythm but that’s all I’ve got for now😅)and I’m a scuba diver beginner, and if you want to do whatever related to the sea I’m in(I’d love to try surfing 🤩)! I love all the animals, and I’m happy to help with the animals if you need!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My first solo travel was in Nepal in 2019 and I’ve never been in Asia before. it has been absolutely incredible all that I’ve learned about myself and has been one big tuning point in my life. It blew my mind and this is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever done, so far.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some Italian(my friends would disagree, since I’ve been speaking Italian/English/spanish for so long that I’m just mixing them all up 😆) some recipes(mainly vegan/vegetarian) and on the other hand I would like to practice German and Spanish and know about your travels and learn some tips you may can teach me from your experiences ☺️
