My name is Silvy, I'm a calm and friendly food blogger and communication account manager living in Mechelen (close to Antwerp) with my boyfriend Nils.

ABOUT MY PERSONALITY
I'm curious, cautious but rash at the same time, I love to try/see new things and enjoy life to the fullest but I always try to stay rational and behave carefully.
Most of the time I'm an organized and responsible person but hey.. you know what 3 glasses of wine can do to a girl. :) I love calm environments.

INTERESTS
The world needs to be discovered and I love to visit places and meet new people. I'm very interested in other cultures though I don't like to be forced to do things that I don't feel comfortable with or that are illegal. (I had a bad experience like that in Morocco.) Traveling to me is developing myself as a person, enlarging my multicultural awareness and to learn about all kinds of food and food traditions from other countries.

I'm a foodie, so I'm ALL about food. I believe food brings people together, it doesn't matter which language you speak. (And a full tummy makes everybody happy.)

Sports: I love walking and cycling in my free time but I also make time to go to the gym 3 times a week. When I have some more time I go for a swim. I hope I will have time soon to also start practicing yoga again.

I'm a cat person.

I'm a morning person: I get up very early and will be very active/restless that part of the day until noon. I really love getting up at 6am for a tour with my bicycle or a long walk.

I don't smoke and I don't do drugs. My house is smoke-free.

Couchsurfing for me is all about getting to know new people, new cultures, new food and having fun. I love to give you advice about the city, host you, cook together but I won't have time to show you around.
