Living happy :)
ABOUT ME
Hi! I've studied the wonderful Anthropology (a strange subject that let you discover the strange things that human beings are able to imagine and do): I think it's a consequence of my will of knowing people and habits of all around the world. I've finished my Master in Paris, and I've studied in Venice, passing by an Erasmus in Lyon...
Ok, I like also travelling, and I found a work tht allows me to mix pleasure, passion & professional life.
I like doing lots of things all together, and saving time to play with my cats, or to have a walk. For this reason, I'm almost always late and I look like Alice in the Wonderland, but I assure that I can be really really serious too!
Generally I'm optimist and I try to find the good side of every situation: I hate sadness and blue times!
I always like knowing new people, having friends, exchanging ideas and trying different types of kitchen :)
So, enjoy yourself and see you soon!
PHILOSOPHY
Hakuna matata, bro!
Be happy, and everything will follow...
Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
CS - big stuff...
Actually so big that I can't update enough my profile, but I'm really a CS fun!
In Paris it changed my life, I knew incredible peoples and I had many good experiences thanks to this web-site, to this community, actually!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm very proper and I don't like invading other's space: I know how to keep myself and my stuffs ;)
I like cooking and chatting about - well, almost everything, and I'm always ready to share good time with my host / guests. We can choose for a crazy disco night, banjijumping or visit a quiet and peaceful museum - I know we will have fun ;)
Many of my CS guests / hosts become good friends of mine, and we continue to keep in touch trough CS events and not only.
In Darwin I have been hosted by Aaron, which become my housemate for 5 months at the end... :) That guy has a massive heart :) We ended up having up to 3 or 4 guests par week - countless, really, and some stayed up to a month with us. I learnt much during those months.
Sharing is the key, guys! It makes you happy :)
Intereses
I love reading adventure and fantasy books, I have a passion for cats and for having "Spaziergang" (a German word to indicate walks in the nature).
Quite important, I'm pretty much fond of having good time with good people.
Since I like very much travelling, I'll post a small list about the places where I've been that impressed me more... so that you'll taste their flavour :)
2009- 2010: living in Venice
The beginning of the university and of my life by myself! Venice is my favourite city in all the great world, some of my best friends are there and I just can't imagine the Felicia that I'm without Venice... Magical, special, unique, perfect...
2011: Erasmus in Lyon (France)
Well, if you did the Erasmus, you know how it has been ;) If you didn't - ehm, unbelievable could be the right adjective to resume all the stuff ;)
November- December 2011: Kenya
Researching for my Bachelor's thesis on street theatre in Kibera (Nairobi), I learned how feels life. It's the colour of the earth, the emotions that you have there, the greatness of people, the colours and the smells, the shock that you have to pass at the beginning to understand what's going on... it's - well, Africa...
2011- 2012: living in Paris
...to study, to work, to grow, to visit France...
January 2013: Puerto Rico, Caribbean
My first hot January :) Amazing people, lot of music everywhere & lots of food to taste, crystalline warm water and wonderful beaches, good friends to discover the right places - One of the coolest vacations ever :)
All spring 2013: wonderful time in Cork, Ireland
I've been there researching for my Master 2's thesis in anthropology (of course... the subject was midwifery) and I had one of my best experiences ever... quite cold time, but warm friendships and incredible landscapes!
All October 2013: China
From the northern Beijing to the southern Hong Kong, passing by other many and many cities and villages. An unexpected country, full of history and costumes. It's like a prism, rich of people and flavors, nature and all types of buildings, small and big shops, kindness and mixed-up languages.
November 2013: beginning of the Australian adventure!
All starts with the Working Holiday Visa - than... who knows? ;)
Start in Melbourne, then visit Hobart (Tasmania) and NYE in Sidney. Sidney is awesome :)
January 2014: New Zealand
Great folks! Maybe maybe my favorite landscapes ever... definitely, to visit again!
Btw, if you want to go there, hitchhiking is a fantastic way to discover the country and its people, and to save a bit of money too - it got veeery expensive in the last few years... And do not undervalue the Northern Island: there are heaps of things to see, just is a bit less advertised than the Southern Island, and maybe a bit less comfortable to travel around, but it's a little treasure :)
February 2014: Darwin
Welcome in the never ending and super far far far away Northern Territory in Aussieland! ...if you want to visit a place where the Romans would have written on the border "Hic sunt leones", Darwin it's your place. And you'll find crocodiles everywhere instead of lions, but it's sunsets and just the way of life of the Territorians will charm you. I don't know how to explain it, since Darwin itself is a tiny town to be sincere, but it's magic. Try to believe!
July 2014: Indonesia
...Be patient over there man! But nice country. Monkeys every where and the temple of Mortal Combat to be seen :) . NB: it's an archipelago. Avoid the touristic islands (you'll be easily tricked over there) and get to the little islands where locals go on holiday - like Flores.
August 2014: Singapore
Well, if there was a wonderland, it should be Singapore. There is everything you can imagine. Everything. It's a city built to entertain its visitors. Just bring a fair amount of money with you, fun over there is not for free.
November 2014: Kuala Lumpur
A little Singapore, just cheaper. Heaps of attractions in and outside the city, nature and culture and entertainment and shopping and food... And lovely people (no tricks / tourist extra fares, just the right treatment, man- to- man stuff, you know?!). And good transport system and rain forest all around - to visit!
& Vietnam (3 horrible days. Let's skip the tragic chapter O.o)
