About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ooh, I have so many destinations I want to visit. I don't know where to begin. :)

ABOUT ME

You should probably ask my friends - and the answer will depend strongly on which friends you ask. Although I am sure that there are some characteristics that all descriptions would have in common, there would also be some variations. Would be a nice experiment, but I guess if I'd ask them myself the answers would probably be.. ehm.. a little bit biased. :D

If I'd try to simulate my friends answers I guess they would describe me as enjoyable, funny guy who also can be quite serious, likes to chat, have serious conversations and discussions about god (or its non-existence, depends on your opinion :D) and the world. They would probably (or hopefully) also would say that I am very trustworthy and reliable. Some would say that I am extremely organised and plan things, while others would say something like the opposite. :D So I guess this is one of the characteristics where it depends on how they know me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

As for now I haven't planned to use couchsurfing myself, but that could change rather rapidly depending on my travel plans.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hm, I made several visits to various friends in different countries and hosted visitors in my apartment, but as I was not active before on the couchsurfing website, I did so without using the cs community. My flatmate recently started official couch-hosting, so I guess more "official cs experience" will come. :)

Interests

I have several interests like sports - mainly football, active and passive, but also other sports - films, books, friends, other nice people etc. At the moment, I am kind of un-creative here. I guess I will skip this part and insert a better description at another time - I will turn to the comment made above about changing my working attitude and start to seriously work on that immediately instead. :D

Music, Movies, and Books

lots of music and books, actually two of my favourite hobbies, so I won't go into any more detail - the list would just be too long...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hm, "awestruck" - tricky tricky.

Several of the moments would probably be my experiences in Africa. Being attacked by monkeys on a tropical, white-sand beach surely is one of my all-time favorites, as is facing a lion at two metres distance, although in the safe haven of a jeep.

More common, down-to-earth but also amazing experiences would be the extraordinary moments I had with my favourite soccer team, SK Rapid Vienna, like beating Aston Villa in 2009, the Hamburger SV in the Europa League group stage afterwards, or watching a match in the stadium of my second favourite Club, FC Barcelona, in Camp Nou.

Besides that, in the course of the last years I begin more to appreciate the amazing moments ordinary life gives you - something we should do much more than we actually are.
