About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To travel the americas high and low, to learn from poets, musicians, builders and artisans, to fall in love on a dance floor and to give as much and spend as little as I can along the way!

ABOUT ME

I am a smiling traveller at heart, who up to this point has been trapped in the body of a smiling settled (too broke to travel) student. I have a mischievous and occasionally inappropriate sense of humor, an awful memory for faces (worse for names). I live to dance and sing and would like after these 7 years of practice to be able to play the guitar better then a 7 year old! I love to teach and to learn and a bit of a light hearted philosophical argument every now and again is much appreciated! Oh and i have about as good a sense of direction as a compass in a magnet shop!

PHILOSOPHY

DONT F@#K UP
Ah no. I'm all for letting sleeping dogs lie, bit of the old forgiveness: never a bad thing. I hate dogmatism and like rationalism (to a point)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To be honest I am very new to even the concept of this great service but I have already told a few people about the site and i will try to get more involved as i go.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well this one time i was riding like this 15 foot couch and..... (oh i'm sure that one's never been done before!)

Interests

I'm not sure that there are many things that don't interest me once they're related right. I like history and mythology (a favorite thing to do is to swap legends with people of different places trying to find parallels etc.) Politics is good for a while until it gets morbid. Quantum physics always gets me going but my technical knowledge is very limited, physicists with the ability to explain it without the math are latched onto! Music is always a winner though i prefer playing and listening to talking about... But my favorite: Rampant speculation! "What would it be like if none of us controlled our left arm?"

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything that baffles me I love David Lynch, Anything that stuns me Pan's Labyrinth Oldboy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance. Romance: Amelie, I'm a Cyborg but That's O.K., any GOOD sci-fi Blade Runner 2001 A Scanner Darkly. Love a bit of animation, unintentional comedy is great
Korean Movies,

Music, I listen and dance to anything as long as it's good. Tend to avoid Death metal and Opera (I think they're acquired tastes). I play mostly folk and singer song writer stuff but really want to branch out.

Books: Social Sci-fi, Magic realism, Historical Novels with a bit of Philip Pullman and Harry Potter thrown in for good measure!
