Présentation
À propos de moi
Hey! My name is Simeon and i'm a bulgarian living in Grenoble, France for my studies at Grenoble Architecture School. I love exploring the world, meeting new cultures and interesting people, hearing their stories. As child of the world I do not recognize cultural boundaries and I think of myself as a very tolerant and open minded person.
I'm fighting every day for a better world - in harmony with nature. Trying to restablish our connection with it.
Hiking in mountain is my passion.
Art is my way of sharing my message
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
In one moment of my life I felt the need to explore more of the world, in more different ways. I have many friends using couchsurfing and when I'm meeting their guests it's always a great experience. The connection that is made between the people is more sincere and authentic. It's a situation when both sides can learn a lot and in the same time couchsurfing is providing a unique possibility to exit yur comfort zone and to find new things about the world.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I'm always listenning to music. It started in High school and then when I went in Architecture school and at the long nights of work at my projects I was puting song after song. My prefered styles are Rock/Indie/Punk/Jazz/Ambiance/ Ethno/Latin/Electro swing/Psychedelic..... I can always share some really nice alternative bulgarian bands and artists. Going to alternative festivals has opened my mind to many different styles and genres.
For three years I was volunteering at Sofia International Flm Festival which was a great oportunity to have many great cinematic experiences. I love european cinema - Pedro Almodovar, Paolo Virdzi, Aki Kaurismaki, Wim Wenders... as well I'm a huge fan of Woody Allen's work and his delicate sense of humor. I try going to cinema at least once a week and I tend to choose movies with catching and provocative description.
Unfortunately because of my studies recently I don't have much time for reading. In case I have some I use to read some great architecture and urbanistic books that were been referenced at university.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
In 2018 with my best friends we did a one-month interrail trip in Europe. That was really great, and I hope someday I will be able to do something like this (most probably in South America)
Enseignez, apprenez, partagez
Learning is a never-ending process for me. Now I'm concentrated on developing a design thinking, as well I try to keep my inspiration for photography. Many ideas are coming into my head recently about starting doing a cinematographic project combining architecture with cinema.
For many years I've been working with kids in the mountains of Bulgaria, practicing the so called "experiential learning" something that I would love to share as method for improving our ways of learning.
As an experienced mountaineer I can share what is for me the mountain culture.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Teaching English, French, Bulgarian :)
I can speak about architecture with hours - telling the history of european cities, buildings and art movements. As well I could share some recipies for traditional balkan cuisine (love cooking, I'm doing it always when visitng someone). Some more practical stuff as cleaning or helping with the house maintenance (fixing, repairing, renovating, painting) is also something I would love to do I would love also to share music, movies and book that I liked. I would love to share some moments in the nature, reflecting on ourselfs.
