About Me

I'm a birdwatching guide in Chiapas, Mexico. Before this I pretty much travelled around Latin America since 2010, living in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Costa Rica, and visiting all kinds of other places. I was an English teacher for a long time, then a data analyst back in England, and now I'm trying working in my major interest, the wonderful nature of the Americas! I'm fascinated by the birds and plants in particular, and I really love eco-projects of all kinds especially with a permaculture focus.

Some highlights from ten years in Latin America:

Rock climbing in the paramo of Bogota
Building a house in the desert in Salta, Argentina
Nature guiding in Villa Mills, Costa Rica
Having an English teaching school in Bogota
Fruit tree gardening in Peru
Surfing in Ecuador
Hitchhiking in Patagonia
Throwing tomatoes in a Tomatina, Colombia
Running out of money in Venezuela (less fun)

Some random special skills that I have: Chess, poker, climbing , playing drums (though its been a long time!), teaching English, speaking Spanish, Portugese, gardening.
