ABOUT ME

I'm half Malaysian, half Indonesian, fully Chinese (ethnically). I was born in Malaysia but when I was less than one we moved to Papua New Guinea where I spent the first 7 years of my life. My family then moved to Palembang in South Sumatra, Indonesia, where we stayed between 1995 and 2000. Then we moved to Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia, where I lived till I was 15. I then attended boarding school in Perth, Australia, before going to university in London, England. Since finishing university I have spent 6 months in Bristol, 3 months in Derby and moved out to Aalesund for 6 months on placement. I then spent about 9 months working in Singapore and have since moved back to the UK. I have lived in 7 countries and 11 cities!

I've never really been active in the CS community but figured now was a good time to start!

Interests

Meeting new people and learning about different cultures, learning new languages, sports (Ultimate Frisbee), TV (Arrested Development, It's always sunny in Philadelphia etc.), having drinks with friends, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Experienced two volcanic eruptions and actually got to see one erupting while in New Zealand! Lived in 11 different cities in 7 different countries in 25 years.
