About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Living consciously and sustainably
ABOUT ME
I'm trying to do my best - and I could do even better, for sure - to live consciously and sustainably, in accordance with my own values. I do believe we need personal growth and common degrowth to make this world a better place to live.
I'm not looking for affairs, just not to be misunderstood.
I love to have conversations, to learn and share experiences and points of view. I express my creativity in the kitchen, always preparing different dishes (I mainly use foods of vegetable origin). I find it very relaxing to read: a good book allows me to totally abstract myself. I feel good practising yoga and walking in nature. I also like to visit cities, to appreciate their architecture and see how people live.
PHILOSOPHY
I am a free spirit and conventional life does not satisfy me; the key to my freedom is to need less of what I have. Thanks to a limited need for stability, I have allowed myself to live 'many different lives', discovering lifestyles different from what I was used to. Finding alternatives to consumerism is my 'ideology'. Making my small contribution to social and environmental change is my daily mission.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Cooking a meal both for my hosts when I'm couchsurfing and for my guests when I'm hosting.
Offering a couch to visitors. I use CS more than you can see in my profile, some references are in my partner's profile :-) https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/stebla?action=show&controller=user_profiles
I also have a new profile on Bewelcome: https://www.bewelcome.org/members/simonam
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Just good experiences so far. Sometimes couchsurfing is the best part of a whole trip. I also love learning about other cultures hosting people in my home.
I'm not looking for affairs, just not to be misunderstood.
