About Me

My first big travelling trip was back in 2015 when I did a 14,000 mile road trip across the USA. I started couchsurfing a few days into the trip and loved it every time and since have couchsurfed in several different countries. I have couchsurfed in America, Malaysia and Singapore and hope to continue to build my couchsurfing experience.

My first travelling trip turned out to be almost a year long and I spent 3 months living in Saigon, Vietnam teaching English in public schools. I backpacked around Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Thailand over almost 5 months.

I spent the last 2 years living in Canada, where I lived in Whistler, Squamish and Canmore. It was great to live in the mountains and experience a different, quieter ad more chilled (but active) life than the city. I got into snow sports in the winter snowboarding, splitboarding in my 2nd season and snow shoeing. The snow makes the mountains magical and gives it's own challenges to navigate, avoid avalanche terrain and explore new places transformed each winter. I got into mountaineering and scrambling in summer months. Scrambling lets you explore massive amounts of terrain with amazing mountain views and gets you fit at the same time! I spent summer 2019 in the Canadian rockies scrambling and got some pretty rad views!

I'm an easygoing guy who loves fitness and exploration and I'm very outgoing and social. I love meeting people and being around people and I really enjoy learning about other cultures and people's lives. I also enjoy music, gigs and festivals and playing the drums. I read and try to always be learning something.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What better way to travel than meet a variety of interesting travellers and hang out! You never know who you'll meet next and what stories they have to tell.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Did a skydive for my 21st birthday.

Quitting my job to go travelling until I ran out of money.

July-October 2015 I drove 14,000 miles around America and covered 34 states.

Navigated the crazy traffic of Saigon for 3 months on a scooter (and breaking down many times in the process).

Solo backpacked for 4 and 1/2 months around SE Asia- one of the best things I've ever done.

Spent 2 years living in Canada snowboarding, splitboarding, scrambling and mountaineering!

Attending Shambhala festival in Salmo, BC. Magical!

I've been learning drums for the last year so I can jam with you. Cooking is always fun and cultural exchanges welcome.
