I am a medical student living in Zurich, Switzerland. I'd consider myself an open-minded person who likes getting to know new people. Before I started studying medicine I studied history and Arabic for a year.

I like to go hiking in the mountains, skiing and skitouring, swimming in freezing mountain lakes or in the sea, sailing, reading, playing the piano and traveling. What I specially like about traveling is getting to know the sound of the local language, trying out traditional food and learning about the place's history. I am very interested in history, and as I am a medical student, also in the history of medicine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling and getting to know new places around the world. I don't want to stick with seeing places through the eyes of a tourist, but meet the locals too. CS offers me a great opportunity to do exactly that. I also love having international friends, keeping in touch with them and meeting them again at any awesome place or show them my city as I experience it myself.

Interests

When visiting cities, I am mostly interested in their history, architecture, food culture and cultural events. I do also like to go out at night.

I can teach you a bit in the languages I know, show you some basics in standard dances (salsa, discofox...) or if you come to my country, I might be able to take you to the mountains and go hiking / skiing with you. And of course I'd love to share my story with you and hear yours :)
