Overview
About Me
Borders bring nothing but pain - let's connect and break that shit down!
I grew up near London but have been moving around Europe in search of creative communities and affordable rent! I'm currently living in Glasgow - I'm working part time in social work and study fashion and costume design. I enjoy cooking (vegan), reading (queer culture/working class history/politics), DIY culture, parties that see the sunrise and my gay/queer community.
Please do not apply to stay with me or accept my offer if you hold any racist, sexist, homophobic, transphonic or xenophobic views - you will not be tolerated :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet kind and interesting people, to exchange ideas and to expand my world view.
Due to some previous experiences with surfers I am mostly here to host and meet queer/allied surfers and provide a safe space for female travelers, and anyone who may otherwise feel uncomfortable or vulnerable elsewhere - not here to tolerate or educate re: sexism, homophobia, transphobia etc.
Interests
I studied social sciences for 4 years which involves some politics and philosophy too. I am particularly interested in cities, cultural history and anti-capitalism (tear that shit down!)
I design and make clothes for myself and friends - I work in a DIY, anti-consumerist practice, crafting with waste materials and secondhand garments
You can often find me listening to techno music, exploring cities on my 2 feet (or on 2 wheels), or noodles in various forms

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy jazz, rock, pop, and a wide spectrum of electronic music
Books, film and TV wise I'm into queer revolutionary stuff, working class history, culture and societies, surreal twisted stuff, horror, some elements of sci-fi and fantasy.. but equally enjoy being entertained without deep meaning
Lover of high and low culture, and unearthing one inside the other (boo to cultural/creative hierarchies)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Living and working on a mountain farm in Norway - hiking with goats, nude swimming in the fjord, picking wild mushrooms, watching whales play in the waters...
Teach, Learn, Share
What I can offer; writing/help with English, cooking meat-free meals, reading maps, discussing social issues and politics. I love to share these things with others (and I'll undoubtedly learn some things at the same time), particularly if we share a passion
It could also be nice to learn some new creative skills and practice my German, which is currently quite basic
Hosts should know that I wash up good and can separate recyclable goods nicely
What I Can Share with Hosts
Knowledge, laughs, stories, books, a curious ear, creative skills, and tonnes of vegan recipes
I can walk dogs, help with chores and offer a place for you in the UK (or wherever I may be) (:
