I'm Simon, 24 years old, and I live in Cologne, where I study german literature and music.

When I was 7 years old, my family moved to Peru, where we lived for 6 years. I'm pretty sure that this time changed me a lot and made me much more open-minded that I might have been.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing seems to be a very communicative way of travelling.
Spending time with different people from other countries has always been a great experience for me. Also I think that Couchsurfing is very special because it requires a certain way of kindness and trust.

Interests

I do lots of music, especially singing,
I really like to read good literature (which can be of very different genre),
I like spending time with people and do senseful or senseless things,
sometimes I really enjoy hiking - especially when the weather is bad -,
since one year I am really interested in meditation and I discovered how much I love to sit in a sauna.
Also I just finished my Open Water Diver and I am very much interested to dive a lot.
That's all that comes into my mind right now.

Music: The Beatles, Jason Mraz, Mumford & Sons, Lexer,...
Movies: Depends! Sometimes I love apocalyptic movies, sometimes I just want to see action and bad dialogues, sometimes cheesy love-movies really touch me, sometimes I want to watch horror movies and be afraid of everything afterwards for some time.
Books: The five-book-trilogy by Douglas Adams "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", books by the norwegian crime-novelist Jo Nesbø, East Of Eden,...

I can teach you how to play the drums in case you have a drum-set nearby.
I want to learn all kinds of stuff.
And I actually like to share almost everything I experienced.
