Intereses

Hi I'm Si and I'm a Travelholic. If I'm not travelling I'll probably be planning the next holiday. I guess I just want to see as much of the world in all it's charm and glory; whether that be from above the clouds or deep at the bottom of the ocean, it's there to be explored and I intend to do the exploring.

I'm a bit of an extreme sport's junkie - Ever since I got stuck at the top of the Log Flume ride in Legoland at the age of 10, I've had a thirst for adventure. I would like to think that I am open to pretty much anything adrenaline-fuelled, so if the opportunity arises I am likely to take it.

I love going out, particularly to the local hotspots that no guidebook can tell you about. So If there's a party going on with pumping music and a good crowd, I'll be sure to be there.

I'm also one for experimenting in the kitchen but I promise my food hasn't poisoned anyone. And having travelled around South America for the last 4 months, I can appreciate just how important a good breakfast is so don't be surprised if you wake up to one already waiting for you.

Music - House, Techno, Jazz, Regae, Samba, Tango, Nordic Folk... You name it. But please, no death metal.

I find a good comedy goes down well - the latest Nick Frost & Simon Pegg works a treat.

Books: I must confess, I was a bit of a Bookworm when I was a little kid (Chris Ryan, Darren Shan and Andy McNab hit the spot) but nowadays it's probably a Travel Guide Book. However I have just finished reading Marching Powder - a book all about drug dealers in the World's Strangest Prison.

- Watching the sunset over Ipanema beach was a treat unto itself, but made even more special by the sound of 100s of people clapping and cheering as the sun goes down.

- Falling out of a plane at 10,000 feet over Foz do Iguazu with the feeling that you're floating in the air is an amazing sensation and can only leave you with a massive grin on your face as you hurl towards the ground at breakneck speed .

- Hurtling myself down Death Road with just a helmet and some brakes for safety, trying to navigate my way through fog, mud and rain. But the sheer exhilaration it brings is such a great feeling and keeps you buzzing for weeks after.

- Seeing Macchu Picchu emerge from the clouds at sunrise. An incredible sight that can only be seen to believe.

- Chilling in the hot baths of Budapest with one of my best mates from school, watching the sun slowly set.

- Clubbing till the late hours of the morning in Prague in a swimming pool in the middle of the dancefloor.

- Dancing the night away in a church on the outskirts of Amsterdam with a bunch of backpackers from all four corners of the world.

- Spending a weekend on a private island in Halong Bay. Doing nothing but drinking, banana boating and tanning in the 40 degrees sunshine.
