To take a career break from work and see some more of the world, to meet some new people and enjoy life

ABOUT ME

I'm Simon, a 34y/o veterinary surgeon from the UK who is currently on a career break to travel some of the world - starting with Dubai, then SE Asia, and then Fiji/Cook Is and Australia. Mixing volunteer work with veterinary charities with couchsurfing, AirBnB-ing and generally just saying yes to stuff, I cannot wait to get out there. Also balancing my travels with negotiating a fabulous trans-atlantic, long-distance, romantic-comedy script of a relationship.

PHILOSOPHY

Be good to others, be a true gentleman, hold open doors for ladies, smile often, drink plenty of water, try and worry less, breathe deeply, sleep well, love passionately, fight for what you believe in, dress well, run fast and try to look forwards and not back.

I am yet to pop my Couchsurfing cherry, either as a host or as a surfer, but can't wait to get started..

I have ten years experience as a practising veterinary surgeon in the UK and have worked in both large and small animal practices. I have experience of working overseas in neutering clinics/somewhat rustic surroundings and really enjoy teaching and passing on my knowledge and experience to students. Animal mending advice and free healthchecks to all who host me!
