Hello, my name is Simon and I come from Australia. Currently I am 18 years old and studying in Brisbane.Before I started studying I was working as a lifeguard on the great barrier reef. In this time I worked for 7 months and travelled around Europe for 4 months as my "gap year."

The reason I had a Gap year is so that I could have a break from studying and experience different cultures at the same time! I think it is interesting to meet people from other countries as well as my own.

I enjoy playing sport (all kinds really), reading from time to time, playing video games, music festivals and travelling! Im always keen to meet new people - especially people with different cultures. Im trying to learn some German and Japanese wherever I can :p

In general, im a fairly easy going person. I lived and studied at school until my graduation in 2016.

Im clean, quiet and respectful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on couchsurfing so I can meet new people and learn a bit about their culture at the same time. I really like the idea of sharing a home with a stranger and living like the locals - its nice. Also it can be hard to make friends or meet locals as a solo traveller. Couchsurfing would make that easier for me :). Im more than happy to offer a "couch" to make your travelling more affordable whenever i can.

I like to listen to indie rock, some alternative, house, grime and jazz music. I like to read medieval fantasy books when I have time and Id like to read some more classics. I don't really watch movies or TV.
