About Me

Hello, hosts and surfers!

I'm Simon, 25, from a beautiful island called Taiwan. Pretty excited to be traveling in Europe till the end of March (first time!).

I used to work in the blockchain industry and will be working for HEINEKEN starting from this April.
Grew up in Taiwan and studied in New Orleans, USA, for 2 years.
Would love to share anything about my journey and experiences in Asia and in the States.

Love spontaneous and intellectual conversations with people.
I believe that traveling is one of the best ways to know not only the outer world but also the inner self.
Open to any and all experiences really.
We could either grab a drink, partyyy, get crazy, or just chill at home and get to know each other.

Hopefully we won't just meet hosts/surfers, but long lasting friendship during my stay or yours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that couchsurfing is one of the best ways to connect with local people and that connecting with local people is one of the best ways to deeply understand a place and its culture.

This time, I decided to explore Europe alone. Looking forward to meet some cool people, fall in love with some places, and discover something more about myself during the journey.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"A Blessing in Disguise"
When I visited Miami for a cruise trip while studying in the States, I couldn't have got on the cruise due to my expiring passport. Therefore, I decided to stay at a local hostel. During my stay there, I met two Germans who invited me to explore the city with them, and it was so much fun that they visited me in New Orleans a few months later; now we still keep in touch after a few years.

Also, during the stay, another couple from Maine invited me to a penthouse party on Miami beach on the first day we met, and told me that they got some "good shit". While it may not have been a wise idea to go party with literally two total strangers that offered "good shit", I still went anyway. It turned out to be a blast and I was glad that nobody stole my kidney even though I got so far from sober at that party. lol
