About Me

After doing 27 different jobs in different sectors and on different continents, I decided that the 28th (job) should be the one! So I became a copywriter so that I could work and travel at the same time! Specialized in sports, fan of geopolitics and involved in human development causes since a very young age, I love meeting new people and cultures and sharing the little I know with others!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my world tour, I discover new countries. As I don't know anyone in these countries, couchsurfing allows me to meet people and take my first steps in discovering the culture and customs!

Interests

I played high-level handball and amateur football for many years. But I've also played many other sports.
I have a degree in geopolitics and marketing and I'm passionate about these subjects.
I spent 5 years of my life managing an NGO that built schools in West Africa.
As a child, I had to go to the museum every Wednesday after school. Today I'm grateful to my parents for all the culture they've passed on to me and the love I have for discovering things I've never seen before!

Music, Movies, and Books

Having three older sisters and being born in 1990, I grew up listening to Michael Jackson! At the same time, thanks to my parents, I discovered all kinds of music. I'm now able to switch with great pleasure from Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata to Still D.R.E. or from Bob Marley to Paul Kalkbrenner!

My film classics include Into the Wild, Mr Nobody and Truman Show. On the whole, I like historical films, true stories and films that make you laugh and/or think!

In terms of literature, I like biographies, inspirational portraits and historical novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Having been brought up with values of equality and solidarity, I've never understood and accepted that not all children can have the same chance of going to school.

When I was about 15 and seeing my results at school, I realised that I wasn't Einstein and I wasn't going to revolutionise the world by myself.

So I said to myself that if I worked very hard to help develop access to education, then maybe I could vicariously help a child who would revolutionise the world!

I studied hard and then set up an NGO when I was 19. In 5 years, we built more than a dozen schools! And yet, believe me, the luckiest person in this story is me! Everything I've learnt over the years, everything I've been given, is priceless.

Teach, Learn, Share

The best quote I've ever heard is from Socrates: "All I know is that I know nothing". And even what we learn is worthless if we don't share it. Teaching is learning and vice versa.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sharing what little I know, but above all opening my ears wide to learn all I can! Historical and/or philosophical debates, a good meal, laughter and smiles and even a bit of sport if possible ;)
