About Me
I'm a student at Jacobs University taking a semester off to travel and explore Eastern Europe. Growing up, I briefly lived in Cuenca Ecuador. Since that, in addition to studying Spanish most of my life, I've mostly become fluent. For the next 5 months, by exploring new and (hopefully not for long)unfamiliar places, I'm optimistic that I'll develop new skills, make new connections, and gain an overall appreciation for the places I visit.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Growing up, one of the most important things I've learned from my parents is the value/importance of traveling. From the experience I've had so far, I'm always surprised not by just the familiar aspects of a new place, but what new and different aspects each place offers. Being a college student with a limited budget and an itch for adventure, a problem that I have is that it can be hard to actually immerse yourself in a culture. However, Couchsurfing offers great solution. The community here of travelers provides a platform to effectively create and build new connections. Through these, I hope that I can share my experiences and learn from those of others around me.
