Overview
About Me
I was born in Hamburg, Germany but i grew up in Zurich, Switzerland. I‘m always seeking new experiences and challenges and im driven by the will to make a difference.
I love to travel, meet new people and concerts/festivals.
Hiking, climbing and bouldering are big passions of mine.
I’m really into all kinds of water sports. Just started Laser-Sailing last spring, get to wakeboard once or twice a year and have been surfing in New Zealand for 1 month. Ive got the advance open water diver but sadly switzerland hasnt got that much waves or reefs to offer.
I like gardening. But i mainly grow vegetables and herbs. Its awesome to have fresh herbs to cook with all the time. More on cooking further down...
With my friends i play card and boardgames all the time. My favourites are Tichu, Carcassone, Dog, Azul and Codenames.
A few years i started to collect Gin. I always get a local bottle while travelling (short time travels). Its nice to have Gins from all over the world and its better than a souvenir. So occasionally i drink a Gin in the evening on my lovely balcony and it reminds me of the trip i did.
So if you stay at my place i can offer a gin tonic and we can talk about all trips we did.
I read a lot, mainly about politics, economy, science and society. And i love to discuss such topics and im always happy to learn about different opinions. Its really important for me to understand the other side.
I love to play the Pois but mainly at night with fire. So i dont learn a lot because im scared to burn myself 🔥
I cook a lot mainly vegetarian food. I eat meat and dairy occasionally but reducing it step by step. My Goal isnt to be a vegan but to be more aware about what i eat.
Sustainability is a big topic in my life. I engage myself in different organizations which sensibilize people in the matter of sustainability and climate change.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Meet other people from all over the world and get in touch with locals... For me its the most important thing while travelling and couchsurfing is an awesome opportunity for it. I havent got any experience in couchsurfing so far. But i would be happy to get some over the next few years.
