About Me
I got a taste for travel almost 10 years ago and then most of my values, beliefs and convictions changed. I used to want to be financially successful, own a big house, luxury cars and show people I succeeded in life. You read it well, I was very not confident in myself so I had to have materials things to prove myself. This totally changed over the years and now I'm trying to live as simply as possible. Travelling with a backpack and trying to meet people as much as possible. Most of the things I own are second hand. I didn't have a TV at me appartment in the last 2 years and it made me reading more, just listening to music in the dark, going out to play, volunteer and discover the city I was living in. I love to play various sports with friends and also climbing, running, kayaking, hiking and climbing. I appreciate to share with people the experiences, books and movies that had an influence in my life, but I also like to learn from people and listening to their stories. I use to accept any opportunity that arise to go play outdoor or meet new people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on couchsurfing to meet people and have a relation that in which money is not involve. A truly generous act that lead to meet people you wouldn't have met otherwise. Since I'm travelling and looking for a place I want to establish myself, I can't offer to host people. But, I can offer my help in any task they would need. Once I will be settle, I will happily offer my couch to the community.
Interests
Sport has always been part of my life, so anything related to physical exercise is good for me. From Yoga to crossfit to climbing to running to team sports. I also love hiking, camping and paddling sports.
I love to read "documentary" books as well as fiction and poetry.
I like to learn about social issues and discuss to find solutions. Political talks are always nice even when there are disagreements. Actually, this is in these situations that I learn the most and think more about a specific issue.
I'm a cat lover! I volunteered in a cat shelter for the past 4 years. I also love dogs, but can't commit to take care of one at home.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music (not in order): Piano and violon are my favourite instrument, but I can't play them. Chilly Gonzales, Patrick Watson, Leonard Cohen, Grubb, Random Recipe, Ratatat, Pierre Kwenders,...most of the things from classical music to whatever make you feel good and want to dance (I'm a bad dancer, but who care!?)
Movies: To kill a mockingbird, 12 angry man, Guess who's coming for diner, Rio (!), Juno, Scott Pilgrim vs the world, Nuit #1, Inch'Allah, Incendie, 5 broken cameras, Earthlings (difficult documentary, but information that we most know), Le fabuleux destin d'Amélie Poulin
Books: Born to run, Eat&Run, Moi mes souliers, Le monde qui pourrait être, The ecology of commerce, The value of nothing, Les fourmis (trilogy), Animal's farm, 1980, Les contes des milles et une nuits, Le vieil homme et la mer
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leaving Quebec city with a backpack full of clothes, but no tent and sleeping bag. Running about 30km/day and ask people in the villages to host me for the night. I did that for 4 days then hitchhike to prevent to hurt a soaring knee. I was proud to overcome my personal barriers and ask people to host me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have a backgroung in finance and accounting, so without giving professionnal advise, my knowledge might be helpful. I speak french, english and a bit of spanish.
I'm discovering the quebecer culture, but I want to learn from other canadian residents. I have a big interest in First Nations cultures especially for their respect of the earth and people.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my travel experiences and my personnal view of the world. I can show them new easy recipes that doesn't involve animal products. I can help them in daily chores.
