Hi there! My name is Simon, Canadian resident, working currently as a scuba diver/tree-planter. I am the proud owner of a successful vegetable garden, which usually feeds more rabbits than humans. This is not by design. I like to romanticize over tiny homes, agriculture, clean energy and self-sufficiency. I like to walk. I enjoy urban spelunking in foreign cities, as well as exploring nature, both above and below sea level. I am always on the hunt for small creatures, things hiding in plain sight and oddly-behaved people. Nothing gets me excited like a good quality, well-priced commuter bicycle. I like to listen and ask questions. I have a beloved Springer Spaniel named Keefer, but he is far too old and wise for Couchsurfing, and now resides comfortably at our family home in Kingston, Ontario, digging holes in the yard and barking at unsuspecting neighbours. I'm easy-going and always looking for some fun! Never lick a gift horse in the mouth. Hope to hear from you!

Could lend a hand with English-language skills, basic music production, basic photography, writing, nutrition, sports/fitness, diving essentials and finding cool birds, among other things. I make a mean stir-fry or veggie nacho platter to name a couple of kitchen specialties. I can wash dishes, chop vegetables and I usually don't burn stuff. Handy for outdoor work. I'm looking to learn everything about something and something about everything. I'm handy around the house and I've been told I look good in an apron.
