About Me

Alright?!

I am Simon, a 27 year old English teacher from London. I have recently been living in Barcelona, but from the end of July - and for around 5 months - I am traveling from Mexico south, through Central America. One of my main reasons for this trip is to improve my Spanish so I need to practice it as much as possible, at the moment it's an intermediate level.

I would say I'm a pretty chill guy, I am very open minded and relaxed, and I get on well with people from all backgrounds. I try to be Zen, you won't find any drama here. I would say I'm pretty confident and sociable too.

I have always been pretty crazy about sports and exercise, although recently I haven't had much time to do any. In the past I have played rugby, football, boxing, kick boxing, yoga, gym and exercise in general, and like watching all kinds of sports. Except cricket.

Am also nuts about music, and all kinds of genres - except most pop. Used to play the bass guitar but not for years now, really want to start playing again and maybe learn a new instrument. Go to concerts and festivals quite a lot.

My greatest passion, like everyone these days, is traveling.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently traveling through Central America with the aim of meeting local people and people from around the world, and learning as much as possible about the local culture. For me, staying with people who live in the country is the best way to do this. I wanna hang out, party, have long interesting discussions and share what I know whilst learning about these amazing countries. And most of all, make life-long friends!
