About Me

UPDATE: Not hosting for the time being. I feel like it's time to focus on other things right now.

I`m a curious guy who loves to interact with others. I have always loved to have many international friends and learn from their personal views, opinions and cultures.

I love to listen to other people and learn their stories.

Some Topics / Questions that I think about (among others):
- Be grateful for people in public service (like formost police, firemen, paramedics and also people in politics, public administration and so on)
- Power (in the sense of the ability to influence others) should be always used with the people, who are influenced by our decisions, in mind. That does not mean, that we only life for others, but we cannot use power to only serve ourselves.
- How does the high unemployment rate among youth in many areas affect their personal development? How can they be helped?
- (How) can countries provide working opportunities for young people?
- How can corruption in administration be reduced?
- Politics should serve the good of the whole population - not just those, who voted for them. Politics should defend the weak.
- How can wealth and influence in general be used to help others?
- What does it practically mean to love others? Especially: how do you relate to people, who try to use you because they cannot care for themselves or have not learned other ways of coping with their problems? Where are healthy boundaries to be set?
- How can we have a purpose driven educational system, where students learn (starting in elementary school) from an understanding, how the knowledge they learn, helps them to actively form their lives?
- How can we improve cross-cultural understanding and understanding of other personalities? Not just for ourselves but also on a broader scale.
- How can we understand, which scientific developments (chemicals, foods etc..) are actually hurting us and which trends are just hyped paranoia?
- How much regulation is benefical? How to understand the pros and cons of governmental regulations
- How can we improve how people connect - especially in cities? How much individualism is healthy? Pros / cons
- How can we make sure, that we learn from history?
- Every generation has to build their own homes - every generation has to stand up for the values that want to see established in their lifetimes - otherwise they won't be lived!

and so on, and so forth...

Movies: everything from Marvel, crime series (CSI, NCIS, Elementary, Chicago p.d.,...), Big Bang Theory, Friends, How I met your mother,...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Basically I really enjoy every trip I take because I always meet amazing people and learn new things. One really impressive experience was the chance to take part at the European Youth Council ~15 years ago. I got quite lucky that the very normal public school I attended organized the "Austrian delegation" and so we had the opportunity to meet people from all over europe.

On my job I had many, many opportunities to learn and grow in understanding and relating to other people, understanding processes, growing in understanding how things work together.

I believe that we can grow in our personality from understanding many different subjects (I grew from understanding mathematics, statistic, physics or chemestry as well as by learning about subjects like business administration, taxes, production management, quality management, to learning about history, politics, psychology or sociology)

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn and share whatever I can. Languages, knowledge and perspective on life in general.
