Hi!
My name is Simon, I'm 19 years old, I'm actually a student and I would like to be an aerospace engineer and a pilot... For those who wonder, yes I want to become an astronaut, it's my dream job since I'm a little kid and I'm just getting closer everyday! (well, I hope so ahaha) I love to learn about space, time, stars and everything like that! (I can talk to you for hours about it if you want ;) )I like every sciences but mostly physic and astrophysic. The main principle about it is to observe and admire the world around us and the sky, that's why I love nature so much. I like it because it's beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. I like most sports, but my favorites are skiing (I love snow and winter!), climbing (inside and outside), hiking and beach volley! I also make arts, I draw and I play piano! To resume all of it, I'm someone really passionate, I'm curious, I want to experiment, discover and learn! I hope we will have a lot of fun together!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfing because I like to meet new people and discover new places, but I think that the best way to do it is to get close with the locals. In that way, I can learn new cultures, new lifestyles and the heart of everyplace. There is no better way to learn about something than a good story! Also, the best way to find the amazing hidden spots is to learn it from a local!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I'm really open about music, I listen to any kind but I prefer old songs from the 50s to the 80s, especially The Beatles and Queen!

Movies:
I like almost every kind of movies, I just don't watch horror ones. I like sci-fi, action, adventure, comedy, suspense, drama, mystery etc. I'm also a real fan of the MCU. If I had to say my 3 favorite movies, it would be Endgame, Interstellar and Back to the Future (what a good old classic!) ... As you can see, my 3 bests involve the alteration of space-time ;)

Books:
I'm not interested that much in reading, but my favorites are suspenses like Shutter Island.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've done so far is not even completed yet! During the past months in my astrophysics class, my partners and I were developing a big research project, we have built a capsule that will be launch at the end of the summer to into space on a platform attached to a stratospheric balloon from the Canadian Space Agency's Stratos program. During the flight, we will measure nocturne light pollution from space. The goal of this project is to sensitize people about it and decrease this kind of pollution as much as possible!
