About Me

I grew up in NYC, in the East Village. I went to school in Canada (Vancouver, BC, on the West Coast), where I studied food science.

I lived in Raleigh for a few years doing a food science job and then, beginning in 2025 I got a job in Connecticut. I work as an actuary for a company that administers pensions.

As for interests, I am competitive at pool and backgammon. I also love cooking and trivia. If I come and visit, I'd probably spend the day walking around and exploring and hopefully spend the night doing one of these activities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love exploring and meeting new people. Even when I'm home in New Haven, I try to meet new people every chance I get.

I'd love to come to your city and meet you!!

My profile is very new and I understand if you're wary of having people with few verifications and endorsements. I am happy to talk on the phone or Zoom with any potential hosts/meetups if you want to speak to figure out if it's a good fit. If anyone is around in Connecticut I'd love to meet up for a beer or some pizza.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Indie pop like Alvvays, Vulfpeck, and Petite League

Movies: Gritty crime movies like Scorsese and comedies

Books: the last few books I've read were all about backgammon lol. My favorite author is Chuck Klosterman.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Going to school in Vancouver was so amazing. It was such a beautiful place and UBC was so international. I made friends from all over the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to play pool or backgammon, likely better than you already know how to.

I'd love to learn about your city. Please take me on a tour if you have the time, or if you'd rather, point me in the direction of a cool neighborhood or sight, and I'll probably spend all day exploring.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Happy to bring food or some beer or wine. Whatever helps, just let me know!

Countries I’ve Visited
