About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Busking my way across the U.S.A.

ABOUT ME

I was born in New Orleans and grew up mostly in Nashville, Tennessee. I'm an Eagle Scout and a house painter by trade. I love to cook and don't mind cleaning. Not a morning person in the slightest. I can sleep through anything. I will eat more spaghetti than anyone you've ever seen, and FAST! I'm probably what you'd call a "liberal," but we don't have to talk about politics unless you really want to.

PHILOSOPHY

Do unto others as you'd have done to you.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For now, I'm pretty new here, but I've always happily opened my doors to touring bands over the years, as I am a touring musician myself, both solo and with my band, Kentucky Nightmare (Google us, you'll probably like it).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Of course I prefer a cleaner environment, but I can pretty much get comfortable wherever. I've found that people who let strangers into their houses are really easy-going and open-minded, which I find really nice. If I've ever had a bad experience, I've purposefully forgotten it. I will probably fall in love with your cat and/or dog, and be more likely to remember their name than yours. Don't take it personally.

Interests

Music (of course), nature, esoteric spirituality, astrology, philosophy, beer

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most anything in terms of entertainment, except modern country, top 40, club music, and any movie that's been done before. I can guarantee you that I haven't read any book that's been written in the past fifteen years. Earning a degree in English'll do that to ya. But I love Heart of Darkness, the good Kerouac, and absolutely anything Vonnegut.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Touring with my band is definitely first. Mission trips to Honduras in high school are a close second. A trip I took to Belize in 2006 with some close friends is an even closer third.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a friggin EXPERT house painter. Ask me anything about paint. I have some other trades knowledge, but it's limited. I'm also an expert guitarist, and enjoy giving lessons.
