Overview
About Me
queer guy o tour. I'm traveling to meet inspiring people and experience the wonders of this world - and hope to leave some good things wherever I go.
I grew up in a city and a small town somewhere in Germany, worked a year in Bolivia after school (which started my travelling life somehow), studied in Leipzig did a semester abroad in Lisbon, and lived in Hamburg and Boston to end up in Berlin.
I love taking every creative challenge, from audio books to music videos, writing collaborative texts and filmic essays.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Primarily Coucsurfing is an meeting point. I like to show people the places I know and see their faces when they uncover the (sometimes hidden) beauty of a city. Likewise I am very curious to see the cities I visit from the perspective of the local people.
I surfed on plenty couches and hosted some surfers too. Had a great 'first CS time' in London with Andrew and a wonderful 'second CS time' with Chris. The diversity of people you meet here is remarkable, the main atmosphere is hospitable and open minded everywhere I was. Also CS made my first trip to the US into a "tour de miracle". Wow!
Interests
film, history, queer movement, dancing, cuisine, karaoke, coffee, vegan burgers.
And I love maps (that's my geeky side). If you give me one I'll be busy looking at it for hours, but I think this is a good traveling skill.

Music, Movies, and Books
just discovered Paul Beatty, what a language full of music. Other preferred: Stanislaw Lem, Almodóvar, Tarkowski, Daft Punk, Caribou, Wild Beasts, Gold Panda (just a small selection).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The Blue Hours in Lisbon. That's an amazing spectacle of colours.
The moving Hiacynths on Lake Victoria. You think it's soil, but when the wind comes the start swimming away.
Teach, Learn, Share
My preferred class is the common philosophy of the kitchen table. I can teach you a bit of Spanish, Portuguese, German, many things about the gay liberation movement in Germany.
Lately I fell in love with a camera, so if you're up for anything film-related - I'm your person.
